Denim is something we see every day. In its most casual and mundane form we see it in jeans, jazz it up a little and we get a denim jacket and going all out is denim overalls.
With such an accessible fabric that has been crafted in the same form for decades, trends have been created to try and spice it up, remember the double denim trend? I don't because I was four and thank God I didn't have to suffer the atrocities that came from it.
In recent years designers have tried to bring denim to a form and FEW have achieved this feat. However, one brand has truly taken over the denim trend and made something incredible.
Y/Project is a clothing brand based in Paris that was created in 2010. In 2013 the brand brought on designer Glenn Martins and that's when things became exciting. If you've never heard of Y/Project I can guarantee you're wrong. Remember the infamous detachable leg jeans? Or the garter belt jeans? Perhaps you recall the denim jacket with 3 foot long arms? Or more recently the diaper jeans? WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF Y/PROJECT.
Y/Project is truly a brand that has made a statement in the fashion world and for people in the know, you know damn well when a pair of Y/Project jeans pop up on your screen, they have truly set their trademark.

Seriously though y project is one of the most innovative brands when it comes to denim in particular, they always keep us on our toes. Whether it be the wacky jeans or stylish jackets, they are truly doing something different and I love every minute of it (also Naomi Smalls if you could wear the diaper jeans that'd be great thanks).
